So I decide to try the KVD Line conditioner - bought some today.  The stuff is great.  No residue at all - no nothing for that matter. The best part was how it helped the line on my spinning reel.  I need to change it anyway (6lb flurocarbon doesn't last long) so thought it would be a good way to see if it really works.  Well - it did, and pretty well.  the line was a mess, but after treating it with the KVD Line Conditioner it is very manageable - not like new line, but very manageable for 6lb line that has had a workout.  All in all a great product.  BY the way - forgot to say that I treated all of my other reels with it, even my braid, and the casting distance was noticeable further and smoother.

I don't know if BPS has it - I found it at Dicks Sporting Goods.  Think it was $7.99
